1. Brush regularly – Gently brush your kitten’s coat a few times a week to remove loose fur, prevent tangles and get them used to being groomed.
   
   
2. Keep baths to a minimum – Most kittens are naturally good at keeping themselves clean. Only bathe them when necessary and always use a kitten-safe shampoo.
   
   
3. Check their claws – Get your kitten used to having their paws handled and check their claws regularly. If they need trimming, use proper cat nail clippers or ask a groomer or vet to help.
   
   
4. Check ears and eyes – Gently check their ears and eyes for dirt or unusual discharge. Don't put anything inside their ears unless advised by your vet.
